WHAT IS ALFABETO?
Also known as alphabet spaghetti, this tiny pasta is made for soups. It is older then you think, with newspaper articles just after the U.S. Civil War mentioning it. The irony to me is that in Italian they use accents over some of their vowels. So even if an Italian kid gets the letters right, the word is misspelled regardless. But if that seems cruel, imagine what the Chinese version is with 10,000 different characters to choose from?
WHERE IS ALFABETO MADE?
No one knows who created alphabet soup, but it has been around since the beginning of the 20th century. Today it is found mostly in cheap, canned soups though fun holiday cuts featuring different creatures or animals are still sold and used in homes throughout the world.
WHY IS ALPHABET SOUP OUTSIDE OF THE KITCHEN SO BAD?
This name has come to have more then one meaning in the English language. To make an “alphabet soup” of things is to make something incomprehensible with the insertion of a bunch of abbreviations or symbols. This metaphor is used in pretty much any industry or medium where acronyms are making things less then helpful. BTW, IMHO, if 2morow you read that the CIA is IMBY, I’ll be LMAO and tell you to DBEYR.
